Edward A. Barros is a professional member of the AIBD as well as an associate member of the AIA (American Institute of Architects). Ed has been designing large additions, alterations and new homes with Connecticut Architects since 1984. Educated and trained by Architects and Architectural schools he has received a degree in Architectural and Building Construction from Vermont Technical College as well as a Bachelor of Science in Design from Arizona State University. He attended the University of New Mexico where he studied South-Western Architectural history, style and construction. Ed has been an adjunct professor at Norwalk Community College where he has taught computer aided drafting and design to architectural students and local architects.

BDS llc provides design and construction document services for complete home or small room additions, alterations, porches, garages, finish basements, speculative homes, and custom home designs. BDS llc specializes in creating consistent, accurate, and economically affordable design and construction documentation for individual project needs. BDS llc provides design services to homeowners and also provides construction document services for local architects, engineers, developers and contractors
BDS llc strives to provide all design drawings required for a client to understand his/her project completely. The client opinion and input is the most important one throughout the design and construction process. Once the client understands and is completely satisfied with the design, BDS llc will create construction documents. The construction documents (Blue Prints) are provided in the form of plans, sections, elevations and construction details in order to obtain permits and to facilitate construction. All construction documents are created with state of the art 2 dimensional computer-aided drafting software, 3 dimensional cad and true modeling are also available.
BDS llc can work with the clients’ contractor or can provide a list of recommend professionals for the specific project. As a team the client, designer and contractor all have opinions about what the final product should be. In the eyes of BDS llc the clients opinion is most important one and it is the task of BDS llc to make sure that the clients opinion, wants, needs, and dreams are made into the construction reality.
